About Jennison Asuncion
Jennison co-founded Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) in 2012. Celebrated on the third Thursday each May, GAAD is dedicated to talking/learning about digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities. On the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2021, he co-founded the GAAD Foundation, whose mission is to disrupt the culture of technology and digital product development to include
accessibility as a core requirement.
Jennison has been working in digital accessibility since 2006, and is currently LinkedIn’s Head of Accessibility Engineering Evangelism. Most recently, his Alma Mater, Concordia University, recognized Jennison as a Benoît Pelland Alumnus of the Year for “demonstrated professional excellence, community leadership and a long-term commitment of outstanding service in their field.”
