The volunteer team has started to review applications, and we still have open volunteer positions for the day of the event, September 27th-28th.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Be an on-camera host in Zoom, introducing speakers and running Q&A at the end of the session.
  • Moderate the Zoom chat as an off-camera panelist and enforce the code of conduct as necessary, plus answer attendee questions.
  • Join as an attendee, and monitor the chat for questions and ensure they get put into the Q&A panel for the host.
  • Be a technical admin, running the stream behind the scenes and coordinating with the captioners and signers as needed.

Generally, volunteer duties take place over a 3-hour shift. We need people all around the world to volunteer so that we have coverage for the entire 24 hours of the conference.

We also need people to volunteer after the event is over to help edit videos.

No prior volunteer experience is needed! We’ll provide training and support leading up to and during the event.

👕 🎉 As a thank you for volunteering, we’ll send you an awesome WordPress Accessibility Day 2023 t-shirt.

Our conference is pre-approved for Continuing Accessibility Education Credits (CAECs) with the IAAP, so you can also get credits toward maintaining your WAS and CPACC certification by attending sessions as a volunteer.
